Chapter 2 of 16 · 10 min
Day one: signing up and setting up your club
From the signup form to your first bookable court: the setup wizard, the Getting started checklist, and why the order matters.
Signing up
- 1Go to app.frontcourt.pro/signup. It asks five things: your club’s name, its city, your name, your email and a password. No card, no street address, no GST question yet. The city is how players find you in FrontCourt’s venue finder.
- 2Press Start free trial. That is the moment your club is created and you are signed in. The trial clock starts: 14 days, everything unlocked.
- 3Confirm your email within three days. The message comes from Yasharth at FrontCourt with your club’s name in the subject; one tap on its link is all it takes. A bar at the top of the app counts the days and sends the link again if you cannot find it.
The signup page also offers Sign up with Google. Give your club a name and a city first, then press the button; Google proves who you are, you choose a password, and there is nothing left to confirm.
The setup wizard: four steps
Your first sign-in opens Set up your club. It is four short steps and every one of them can be finished later — the wizard is there to get you to a bookable court quickly, not to interrogate you.
- 1Which sports do you run? Pick from the list. Each sport arrives with its own vocabulary, skill levels and sensible booking defaults — badminton talks about courts and games, swimming about lanes and sessions. Twenty-two sports are built in, and a club can run several.
- 2Stores & counters. Whether you sell anything over a counter. If you do, the counter and stock screens switch on and a starter list of items for your sports is offered. If not, skip it; you can switch it on any day.
- 3Your team. The people who work here. Add them now or later; the Staff chapter explains logins and roles.
- 4Your business details. The name and address that print on every invoice. Enter a GSTIN only if the club is GST-registered — with one, invoices carry GST lines; without one, everything sells at the listed price and no GST question is ever asked.
A theme question — light or dark — is asked once so the app looks the way you like. It is cosmetic and changeable from the header any time.
The Getting started checklist
After the wizard, the Dashboard shows a checklist with four lines. A booking needs a court, hours and a price; an invoice needs your details. Until each exists, the corresponding screen has nothing to sell, and the checklist says so.
- Add your courts — pick the sport as you add the first one; its levels and settings come along.
- Set your opening hours — availability starts and ends here.
- Price your bookings — nothing can be booked until a price exists.
- Add your business details — the address prints on every invoice you issue.
Each line is a link to the screen that finishes it. When all four are done the checklist goes away on its own. If a line will never apply to you, Don’t show again under the list hides it for the whole club; the screens it linked to stay under Facilities and Settings.
The order that keeps things from breaking
Every step feeds the next one. Following this order means nothing refuses you for a missing piece:
- Courts and prices before bookings — the desk sells nothing until a court has hours and a rate.
- Invoice details before the first invoice — numbering is gapless, a GST rule, so details set before the first real invoice mean every invoice ever issued looks right.
- A coach’s login before their batch — a batch names its coach, and commission is paid to the login.
- The month must finish before payroll runs — a mid-month run would miss the last week’s sessions.
- Never delete anyone who was paid — “no longer works here” is the door for them.
- When the trial ends, pick the plan that fits — plans are metered on courts per branch, so build first, then choose.
